Spring Cleaning Begins Tomorrow: There is a list of items that you and/or your family can do when it is convenient. When you have completed the job, please mark the done box. Supplies are available. If you think of something else that needs to be done, please list it on the sheet. Thank you for participating in this all-parishioner task to make our church building and grounds beautiful.

One Final Request to return the Stewardship form at the box in the entry, as the Parish Council will be reviewing them soon to formulate how each of you can help out in the areas indicated.

The Tri-Monthly CCW Meeting will be held on Saturday, April 27, at 9:00 a.m. in the church hall.

First English Lutheran Church spring dinner will be Sunday, Apr. 28, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Baked ham and meatballs and all the sides. There is a flyer on the bulletin board with more information.

Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life will be taking orders for Red Long-Stemmed Roses for Mother's Day from April 7 – 21. Suggested donations are: single $2.00, half dozen $12.00, dozen $24.00.

Relay for Life: Spring Valley is responsible for the Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. It is going to be July 12. Many families have been touched by cancer. It's important that we help those in Fillmore County. All helping hands are needed.

Marian Walsh died on Monday, February 26, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Ignatius on Saturday, March 2, 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Kilian Cemetery in Wykoff. There will be a visitation on Friday, March 1 from 4 - 7 PM at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester and at St. Ignatius one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday, March 2. May she rest in peace.

Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life will be taking orders for Easter Lilies after Mass from Feb. 11 through March 10. Suggested donation is $15.00.

Scholarship Applications are available on the bulletin board. Applications are due March 31, 2024.

Russ Mulholland died on Jan. 10 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. His Memorial Mass was held on Thursday, Jan. 18 at St. Ignatius. May he rest in peace.

Caleb Bell, son of Cory and Jackie, died on Sat., Dec. 16. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, Dec. 21 and he was laid to rest in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

The Knights of Columbus Council 13609 smoked porkchop dinner in November was a success. Thanks to everyone who worked and donated in any way. Your support is greatly appreciated. The proceeds will be used for scholarships and for a donation to the Spring Valley Area food shelf.

Thank You Once Again for everyone who contributed to the success of our 47th Annual Chicken Dinner and Raffle. We served approximately 300 people and netted just over $2,000. Our raffle brought in a net of $4,350. Thank you and God bless.

The Overall Champion in raffle ticket sales goes to Paul Klockeman who led the whole way with 127 tickets. I think next year we should start a "contest" with an award to the leader. Outstanding job Paul! We need more Pauls!!

Eternal Rest Grant Unto Him: Joseph Walsh of Fountain died Friday, July 7. His funeral Mass was held Tuesday, July 10, 11 AM at St. Ignatius. May he rest in peace.

Spring Valley Kiwanis Club volunteers are available to help you with projects that you are unable to do. These might be lawn care, minor painting, window washing, etc. Call Jay at Edina Realty, 346-1751 if you need help.
