    •Harvest Mass: This year’s Harvest Mass will be on Sunday, September 8th at 10 am at the Wayne and Phyllis Buresh Farm.

    •St. Finbarr “Tried and True” Cookbook for Sale: St. Finbarr parishioners have contributed over 535 “Tried and True” recipes to a brand new cookbook that you can own!     •You are Invited: The Carmelite Brothers invite you to join us for a Day of Prayer Honoring Mary, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, July 16, 2019. Fr. Andrew Beerman, Pastor of St. John Vianney in Fairmont will present Spiritual themed conferences on Tuesday, July 16, beginning with open house in the Hermitage at 8:00 a.m.; the first presentation is in the morning, and the final one, after lunch, closes the day. Bishop Quinn will offer Mass in Queen of Angels Church at 11:30 a.m. with lunch following in Cunningham Hall. Free will offerings accepted. All are welcome.     Austin Area Council of Catholic Women will meet Tuesday, July 23rd at St. Ignatius Catholic in Spring Valley. Mass starts at 6:00 pm with the dinner and business meeting to follow. We will also share information from the Diocesan CCW Meeting that was held on July 10th. Boxes of Joy will also be available to pick up. Come and join us.

    Litomysl Summer Festival: The 48th Annual Litomysl Summer Festival takes place at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Litomysl, rural Owatonna on Sunday, July 28th starting with a Polka Mass at 10 am. The festival goes from 11 am – 5 pm. There will be games for all ages, outdoor food booths, inside sit down lunch, live music, silent auction, and “country & used-a-bit stores.” More information and directions can be found at their website: Everyone’s Invited!

    Natural Family Planning Awareness Week: The dates of Natural Family Planning Awareness Week are July 21-27, and highlight the anniversary of the papal encyclical Humanae Vitae (July 25) which articulates Catholic beliefs about human sexuality, conjugal love, and responsible parenthood. The dates also mark the feast of Ss. Joachim and Anne (July 26), the parents of the Blessed Mother. For ways to promote NFP Awareness Week in your parish, please visit the USCCB’s website.

    Farm and Rural Helpline: Catholic Rural Life is helping to spread the message about the 24/7 confidential “Minnesota Farm & Rural Helpline.” Our farming communities are facing hard times and this is one way to provide assistance. This helpline is offered by the Minnesota Department of Ag and all calls are answered locally by trained staff and volunteers. If you or someone you know is struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, or suicidal thoughts — call. Sometimes it’s easier to talk to somebody you don’t know. The number is 833-600-2670 ext. 1

    Parish Tables & Chairs: The tables and chairs at all three parishes are church property and are never to be used outside of the church or borrowed by parishioners. If you have any questions regarding this policy contact Father.

    Anti-Pornography Resource on DOW-R Website: A new anti-pornography resource is now available for the Diocese of Winona-Rochester: Clean Heart Online: On the website you will find resources available for strugglers, parents, educators, and ministry leaders. These resources vary from short articles to full courses taught by well-known Catholic educators. This is a free benefit to us from Covenant Eyes as a Safe Haven Sunday participating Diocese.
